In that moment you are not only exploring the distance between your outstretched fingers you are feeling an energy that reaches far beyond the span of your hand.

Kojo Kamau, a Columbus, Ohio native has exhibited his photographs throughout the Midwest and abroad over his career. Kojo, who has captured local and national celebrities on film, studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design, The Ohio State University and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a retired chief medical photographer at The Ohio State University and is currently a photography instructor at Columbus State Community College. He was recently honored by the Columbus Museum of Art as they presented Kojo: Fifty Years in Photography. The exhibition included more than sixty photographs reflecting his five decades working in the medium. Permanent collections include the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus Metropolitan Library, Columbus Foundation, Hilton Columbus Downtown, Central Ohio Transit Authority, Columbus State Community College and the Ohio Supreme Court Building. His photographs have been exhibited in solo and invitational exhibitions throughout the United States.
